The Impossible

What are you praying for that is impossible? If we are going to be Christ followers, then we must surrender fully to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Too often the only time that “God” is mentioned is at church. God has called and equipped each of us to live our lives as a reflection of Him. If that is the case, then we must be praying for things that are impossible for us to do.
Sadly the only time we ask God to do the impossible is when we are dealing with some medical issue or something financial.
“I assure you: The one who believes in Me will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.” John 14:12-14 Did you catch that? “And he will do even greater works than these…” You’re telling me the Bible says that Jesus is telling us that we are going to do even greater things than He did on earth? How is that possible? And notice the how is also in this scripture. Just ask for it. Just pray for things that are impossible. Now let’s be honest, the first things that pop in our heads are cars, or houses, or riches. Why? Because the Bible also says, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matt. 6:21 We can’t ask for something impossible if we aren’t in tune with our Maker. Just like a guitar or any instrument it must be tuned to sound right. We must be in tune with God to do the things that He commands us to do.
So the question arises again… What are you praying for that is impossible? What are you praying for that only God can make happen? What are you asking God for that can change the future as we know it? It is up to US to change the world and help the world see their need for a Savior. Let’s do it, and let’s start with praying for the impossible!
